Learning Disability Awareness Week event

A free drop-in event for carers who look after someone with learning disabilities. There will be stalls and information stands from various organisations including the Adult Disability Service, Herts Help, Healthwatch and the Money Advice Service. There will also be a performance from the Purple Allstars and the whole event will be opened by the Mayor of Watford.

You will also be able to sign up for a Carers in Hertfordshire Passport Discount Card, allowing you to gain discounts from countywide retailers and services.

You do not need to book to attend this event and you can arrive and leave when you want.

Transport Guidance

Following consultation with carers, Carers in Hertfordshire have updated their policy on offering transport to their events. Carers told us we should not be spending more than £50 a journey for an individual, so we will be using this guidance in the future when considering transport options. We are happy to reimburse expenses incurred for using public transport to travel to an event.
