We are delighted to have achieved a significant milestone in our efforts to identify and support unpaid carers by issuing our 5,000th Carers’ Passport discount card.
Our Carers’ Passport is a photo ID card that gives carers access to savings in participating restaurants, shops and businesses across Hertfordshire. Since we launched it in May 2013, over 350 businesses have signed up to support it with 100’s of discounts and offers.
Carers have expressed their disappointment over the Government’s announcement to delay the introduction of the second part of the Care Act 2014, which could have eased their finances.
