Jogging club gets on its marks to support young carers

Ware Joggers has chosen Carers in Hertfordshire as its Charity of the Year and particularly wants to support young carers.
We’re delighted that a new partnership with Ware Joggers club will help us stride forward in raising awareness and funds.

Members of the Carers Camera Club, have their photography skills exhibited.

A group of unpaid carers who enjoy photography are giving a close-up of their creativity and caring roles through their first exhibition.

Seven carers, who participate in our Carers Camera Club, have over 40 of their pictures on display in a photography exhibition at Courtyard Arts in Hertford, that is on until June 27th.

Insights Exhibition presented by the Carers Camera Club

We will be running our first ever exhibition called Insights by the Carers Camera Club. This celebration of their photographic work is being held at Courtyard Arts Centre in Hertford in the two weeks following Carers Week. In the first part, imagery is used to show how carers experience their role symbolically and in reality. In the second part, images show the expression of creativity that photography gives to carers.

Congratulations to the dedicated volunteers who run our Bereavement Group for reaching the finals of The Comet Community Awards. Also to a Wendy Darnell a GP Carer Champion we work with for winning the Care Worker of the Year category.

The group of 14 volunteers provide bereavement support for carers who have lost the person they cared for, and their hard work and commitment to helping others was recognised in the Valiant Volunteer category of the newspaper's awards.
