Shaw Trust: Finding Part-Time Work

  • Thursday 12th September 2024, 10.30am to 1pm.

This meeting is for carers of an adult with a physical disability.

Have you ever wondered if there was some support to help the person you care for (or yourself) find part-time work?

The Shaw Trust support a work and health programme called ‘WHP Pioneer’ which is designed to do just that. It supports people who are not required to actively look for work, but who might want to work a few more hours a week such as people with disabilities or their carers. They can help:

    – place people in work

    – prepare them to be trained to do the job in the way the employer wants it done

    – provide ongoing support to maintain them in the job.

Join us for a talk from the Shaw Trust on the support they provide followed by a Q&A.

There will also be an opportunity to Have Your Say about social care and health services and contribute to the new physical disability’s strategy for Hertfordshire (including chronic fatigue).

This meeting will also be held online on Monday 19th August – please only attend one.
