As the Government is easing COVID-19 lockdown restrictions with community venues re-opening and the rules around social gathering and social distancing being relaxed, we wanted to update you about our face to face services such as groups and carer learning activities.

Our face to face groups are not restarting just yet. However, we will continue our online offer and so will keep planning and delivering courses on Zoom as well as using the platform for our Carer Support Hubs and Forums to meet.

In addition, we will continue making Keep in Touch call to unpaid carers registered with us to check how they are and whether they need any information or support. Our Carer Support Advisors are also available to provide guidance over the phone or email.

Michèle Stokes, our Chief Executive, said: “We want to ensure carers, our staff and volunteers, and the public are safe and so are not resuming our face to face activities just yet as we are working through risk assessments. As most of our groups and courses are provided from community venues or shared premises we are working with the organisations that manage them to review their requirements and ensure they are COVID-19 secure. We ask that you bear with us whilst we work towards resuming our face to face services. We will keep you updated as the situation changes.”
